In fact, the site has been developed to petition Capcom for a new Mega Man X game. With almost 80% of its users also asking for a new Mega Man X game, this petition has gathered over one million signatures and counting! From their page: "Somebody at Capcom must be listening!" The idea is that if enough people sign this petition then they will finally give in and make the long awaited next installment of the series. The new Mega Man X game is set to be a 3D action-adventure and will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On March 26, 2015, the Mega Man fans at TheRPGCorner began to take an interest in downloading megamanxcorruptedparasnes. As the forums were being filled with talk of this new campaign to get Capcom to release a new Mega Man X game, they started to panic. "This can't possibly work!" "The website looks very suspicious!" "It's probably just another viral scam." But through all of their disbelief, they continued their research. And eventually this led them right back to the source. It turned out that the website itself was now being run by a friend of their forum member, Kaboopas78. Kaboopas78 had actually planned on making this website for a while now, and then decided to finally take action after the Mega Man fans started to show interest. "The game is still months away, but I'll keep working on the progress until it's ready", said Kaboopas78. "I hope you guys like what I've done!" Now that TheRPGCorner knew about this new website and about the Mega Man X game itself, they asked for more information. And through what they were able to discover, it became clear that this was all an elaborate hoax. The website was simply a website that served as a platform for Kaboopas78 to share his love for game development. As the game is still currently in the making, there is no final product to be downloaded, and no real Mega Man X game to look forward to. However, this did not stop the Mega Man fan base from spending hours upon hours on this new website. Hours upon hours went by before TheRPGCorner was finally able to convince their community that it was all just a hoax. But even if the campaign had been true, Capcom was always on-top of its game. They are already working on another Mega Man X game that will be released for the Nintendo 3DS sometime next year, and it is definitely not a hoax! The one thing that was real from all of this, however, was the site's dedication to anyone who would show interest in its creation. Kaboopas78 has stated that once he's completed his work for this petition he will take down his website as well as the fake petition upon its completion.
